Egg-log saving is optional
The log works in memory during a page visit. If you choose “Save this log in this browser”, the site saves dates and integer egg counts under poultryliving-eggs-v1 in localStorage. We do not receive those entries. The choice is remembered with the saved log. A shared device may allow another person using that browser profile to see the data.
Unticking the option removes the stored copy while leaving the on-screen entries for the current visit. “Clear log” asks you to confirm, then removes the entries and stored copy. If storage fails, the page displays a message; entries can still be exported. Browser storage is not a backup.
Exports and domain changes
A CSV contains the recorded dates and counts and downloads onto your device when requested. The site does not upload that file. A temporary Cloudflare Pages address and the custom domain have separate browser storage. Another browser, device, private session or cleared site data may show an empty log. Export a copy before changing where you use it.
Other tools
Checklist ticks are not saved. Space measurements and equipment search text stay in the current page. This build includes no account system, advertising pixels, third-party font requests, analytics scripts or tracking cookies set by the site itself.
Hosting and external links
Cloudflare Pages serves the site and may process normal technical request information under its own service policies. Amazon and other external sites apply their own privacy practices when visited. Amazon affiliate links include the site’s tracking ID, not your checklist, measurements or egg records.
Minimise personal information
The egg log only needs a date and count. It offers no name, contact or free-text note field. Do not treat this simple notebook as a permanent record system; keep exported files wherever you normally keep your own records.
